In the book The Watson's Go To Birmingham-1963 the character Kenny and I have many similaries. We are both boys and both attend school. We both have sisters and parents. Also both of our grandma's live far away.

Even though we are alike in many ways we are also different. Kenny is10 years old and I am 13 years old. Kenny enjoys playing with dinosaurs however, I like playing basketball and games. Even though, he has an older brother, I have an older sister. I am happy like a clown but Kenny is depressed. I also am in middle school but Kenny is in elementary school.

The Gingerbread Man and the Gingerbread Boy

The "Gingerbread Man" and the "Gingerbread Boy" were two fairy tales which are quite different yet somewhat alike. They both were baked by an old lady, yet the purpose for making them were different. In the first story, the "Gingerbread Man" was made for the grandchildren. However, the "Gingerbread Boy" was made to be a son and the "Gingerbread Man" was made for the grand kids to eat him. The "Gingerbread Man" was made of brown sugar, with raisins and pink sugar. The "Gingerbread Boy" was made with icing, cloves and peppercorn. Also, in the chase in the stories was different. There were many animals who chased the Gingerbread Man in this story, however, in the Gingerbread Boy they all chased him at once. The fox in the Gingerbread Man wanted him to go to his house where his children could eat him. He ran away from the fox. In the Gingerbread Boy the fox pretended to help him across the river. In both stories there was an old woman and old man, a fox that tricked the gingerbread, and they both ran from animals. Both stories had happy endings and they returned home in both stories. Both stories were enjoyable and written in a poetry form.

The Gift of the Magi

The Gift Of The Magi
O. Henry
Connor Fields

Although the story '' Gift Of The Magi" , written by O.Henry, and the play version of "The Gift Of The Magi" are the same, there are some differences.

In both the play and the story Della cuts off her hair so she can get Jim, her husband, a gift. They both said the gift was going to be a watch chain. Also, Jim sells his watch so he can can get a present his wife, she was looking at brushes. The theme of both stories is "it is better to give than to receive".

In the play Della gets $20.00 and in the story she gets $200.00. In play Madame Sophronie was a guy who smoked cigars, on the other hand, in the story Madame Sophronie was a girl. In the play Della looked all over for a watch chain, but in the story she had picked it out all ready. In the play her neighbor told her about cutting her hair, yet, in the story there was no neighbor. In the play Della's hair was short and curly, however, in the story her hair was as short as a boy.

Both the play and the story were different but similar, and gave the same meaning about what is important at Christmas.

Day 6 Acorn People

Benny B., Spider, Thomas, Ron Jones, Dominic, Arid, and Martin all took the challenge to climb Mt. Lookout, on day 6 at dawn. This mountain was at Camp Wiggin. This was a challenge for the campers because of their disabilities going up the rocky hill. They went up the hill because it would be fun and it was nice outside.
