chapter 11-12

Opal put her hand on the dog's head because Winn-Dixie was afraid of the storm, and Opal didn't want him waking the preacher. At Gertrude's Pet Store, Otis let the animals out of their cages while he played the guitar, because he felt sorry that they were locked up. Opal and Otis had to catch the animals and put them away. Opal finds out that Otis has been in jail.

chapter 10

When Opal told Gloria Dump all of the things about her life she felt like Gloria was really listening with her heart. Gloria told her she had some of her mother in her, and they decided to grow a tree.
That night, Opal told her Dad all about her day, including the Pet Shop job, getting the invitation to the party, and about meeting Gloria Dump. The Preacher gave Opal and Winn-Dixie both a goodnight kiss.

Chapter8-9

Opal went to the a witch's home, and the dog ate a peanut butter sandwich. Opal tells her ten things that are about her. Opal then went to the Gertrude's Pet Store. Inside the store, she tried to find a red leather leash for Winn Dixie. The leash cost so much money that Opal had to ask if she could work the cost off in the store. The manager said she could, so she went back the next day and worked.

chapter 6-7

FRAN THOUGHT THE DOG IN THE WINDOW WAS A BEAR, BUT IT WAS WINN-DIXIE LOOKING INTO THE LIBRARY. HE WENT INSIDE AND PUT HIS NOSE ON MISS FRANNY'S FEET. THE THREE BEST FRIENDS ARE WINN-DIXIE, INDIA, AND MISS FRANNY.

The WinnDixie book is good. the girl named is india and her dad is a preacher for the church. she found the dog at the store and she took it home with her. she put the dog in the bath to wash the dog. she said can i keep the dog. the dog cant chase the small cat and a dog.
